We had a mission… to unite our community in peace, love and paddling through a charitable, eco-minded and inclusive event. To combine our efforts, contributions, and energy to give back to something bigger than ourselves. To inspire others to be the change they want to see in the world, starting a ripple effect. But we created more than ripples… collectively, we made waves...mission accomplished!

This year’s Lake Mary Jane Paddlefest on September 20-22, began with a lakeside happy hour party complete with a meet and greet, sunset paddle and SUP clinic. Race day boasted 6 courses to satisfy a variety of paddling levels, ages, craft and styles. Including prize money purses for the solo 10k technical course and drag race sprint, a 10k Hippies Relay where partners transitioned off a floating island, a 1 mile Green course for beginner racers, a free kids Nugget race for the future of our sport, and the super fun and always comical, Tug Life Relay.

Spectators and participants were entertained all day with a giant slip n slide, live music, Tahitian dancers, hydrofoil lessons and more. The raffle was stacked with high end prizes like Werner Paddles' Zen stand up paddle. We completed the festivities on Sunday Funday with a tour of the beautiful Rainbow River, snorkeling and paddling in the sunshine, amongst crystal clear water.
