FEATURES

  • Ultimate performance brings together all of our most advanced designs.
  • Mid-sized blades are an ideal fit for the great majority of average size paddlers.
  • The volume of the buoyant, full carbon, blades creates an exceedingly light feel for effortless and confident strokes.
  • Dynel® edges protect the paddle from the rigorous environment paddlers often find themselves in. A roping material, dynel is impact and abrasion resistant.
  • Dihedral allows for smooth and stable forward paddling, a core philosophy for Werner.
  • Smooth back face makes for cleaner entry and exit of your strokes and an elegant feel on the water.
  • Optimized flex and strength. Choose our Neutral Bent shaft in Standard Diameter or Small Diameter.
  • The Smart View Adjustable ferrule is the most simple, precise fitting on the market. The solid feel of a 1-piece paddle and nothing to snag your gear.
  • Although our Ultimate performance paddles are far and away our best paddling, their unique design characteristics and materials do not make them our most impact resistant. Look to our Premium paddles for the highest impact resistance.

this is my fourth Werner

"this is my fourth Werner Carbon Paddle, little smaller spoon than my other. . a little easier of the shoulders. Personally these are the best paddles money can buy."

Great paddle, bad connection

"Excellent paddle, when it's working. Light and efficient, if you can get it to stay together. The button on the "smart ferrule" is permanently retracted now, so the 2 pieces don't stay joined together anymore. Warranty support is weak after Jackson deal."

Love love love it!

"I bought this lightweight beauty because of arthritic hands and have no doubt that it will extend my paddling years by decades. It is simply the best."

I wouldn't use anything else to paddle a touring kayak!

"As a woman in my 60s and an experienced canoe paddler of over 30 years, I was first introduced to a kayak using a friend's "spare paddle", and immediately fell in love with kayaking! However, I was overwhelmed with fatigue and sore shoulders after only a few short paddles on relatively calm lakes. So, I did my research and bought this paddle, which was recommended by the friend who introduced me to kayaking, and I was immediately thrilled with the results! Within a year of learning to paddle my "Eliza" kayak, I completed two 40 Km. paddles on a couple of big lakes in central Alberta, Canada, in roughly 6 hours each, using my bent-shaft Werner Cyprus paddle - without any pain! I have had many more paddling adventures in the five years I have owned my Werner paddle and I guard it with my life, as I expect it to last a lifetime! I have always been able to rely on my paddle to bring me safely back to shore, on even the windiest mountain lake, and there has never been a time that my paddle has failed me! So I can happily recommend this paddle to any paddler who is serious about long-distance flat-water or ocean kayaking, which I am keen to try next!"

cyprus bent shaft carbon

"Bought one of these over a year ago in New Zealand. fantastic blade handles like a dream , i think its the best paddle i have ever owned. Sadly really hard to get another one as a spare over here in New Zealand . As i would like to replace my spare with the same Cyprus bent shaft but have not found anyone bringing them into the country. Wish it was available as a 4 piece shaft as that would reduce shipping dramatically and make it easier to carry a spare . Does require care cleaning out the join by flushing with a hose in both parts to flush out any sand that gets into the join."

One of the Best Paddles in the world

"I've worked for 20 years as a kayaking guide and have used many different paddles. The Bent Cyprus is hands down one of the best paddles that I've ever found. This design helps new paddlers improve their skills and abilities by allowing them a very clean and strong feeling of the water. This same design allows intermediate paddlers advantages finding positive pressure on planning surfaces of the blade. The foam core increases the overall buoyancy of the blade helping the blades effortlessly remove from the water while recovering for the next stroke. They also aren't as fragile as you might think. I watched one of my clients loose a Cyprus out of their car on the freeway. It needed 1 duct tape patch before paddling that day. After the paddle they dried it out and brought it in for a small fiberglass patch. They are still using it now, years after. I've also witnessed the warranty team at Werner going above and beyond for customers. This paddle is easy to highly recommend."

Great paddle_horrible joining system

"The first 9-10 times I took the paddle out, I was very happy with design and quality of two-piece system. Around the 10th time it started sticking. Two times later, it is now completely locked. I was very careful to clean each time I paddled. I figure I just bought an expensive 1-piece paddle. Which is ok, except that I changed the degree depending on paddling conditions. No more. If anyone has any ideas to unlock, let me know."
