      Covert/Stealth Recall - Dealers

      IMPORTANT SAFETY MESSAGE – IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED

      Dear Valued Werner Dealer,

      For over 60 years, Werner Paddles has been dedicated to building the highest performing longest lasting paddles on the market.  While we rigorously test all of our products before they are sold and hold every Werner paddle to the highest standards, we have recently found a quality issue with our Stealth and Covert models.

      Werner Paddles has determined that under certain conditions, the Stealth and Covert paddle may fail during use on rivers.  This could lead to the paddle breaking, causing a risk of potential injury.  

      In response to this potential risk and out of an abundance of caution, we ask that you please stop selling the Stealth and Covert paddles immediately.  If you do not have any inventory, please tell us by email at stealthcovert@wernerpaddles.com.

      We will provide you with a credit or replacement for the affected paddles.  Such paddles that you have in stock will need to be destroyed and we will require photo evidence of each of the paddles being destroyed.  

      Please fill out the form at the bottom of this page to register to receive the credit or replacement and upload photos of the destroyed paddles. You may use the credit to purchase other paddles, or, if you choose, you can wait until we fix the issue with the Stealth and Covert paddles at which time we can replace the paddles with the updated model(s).

      As for contacting consumers, we want to handle that at the factory.  We are working with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission on a letter that we can send to consumers and a poster that should be posted in your store.  We will send these to you when they have been approved.  In the meantime, please send us contact information for your customers who purchased the affected paddles..
