Team Paddler Nadia Almuti Reviews Our Rip Stick 79
Here at Werner Paddles we believe we build the best paddles on the planet. After countless hours of designing and testing each paddle model, how could we think anything different?
We often turn to our team paddlers for their reviews of our paddles to make sure we are building paddles that provide the ultimate paddling experience. Nadia Almuti, who is part of our Stand-Up Paddling team, took the time to send us her thoughts and experience with the Rip Stick 79. Here is what she had to say:
"The Werner Rip Stick 79 is my go to paddle for whitewater, surfing, or the ocean. It is the most light weight paddle I’ve ever used. The full carbon construction of the shaft and the blade allow it to be really durable for those shallow technical whitewater runs but light weight so I can paddle all day without my shoulders feeling destroyed.
The Rip Stick 79 has a smaller blade than most paddles and a performance core. The performance core allow for extra buoyancy so you get more pop and power out of your paddle strokes. With the smaller blade I’ve found that I can pick up speed quicker and make tight turns without the blade catching in the water.
The double concave dihedral in the blade is really unique. I can feel a solid catch in my paddle stokes without any flutter and a smooth release. I also feel solid when bracing in whitewater or while surfing in the ocean.
Overall this paddle is that best that I’ve ever used. Werner continues to produce the most durable and high performance paddles in the market today."-Nadia Almuti
The Rip Stick collection is available in the Rip Stick 79, which provides a smaller blade with the small shaft as Nadia mentions, and also the Rip Stick 89, which provides a larger blade with a standard shaft.
